Next January I'll be heading to the Dominican Republic to start working on my next project for Adventures In World Music. Starting next year I'll begin traveling to to a total of twelve different countries to find and record with musicians living and making music in their native countries.  I'll be documenting my travels, the music we record and the performances that are sure to take place on this site. 

I'll be taking a break from the documentary style videos of the past and focusing more on specific musicians that I find.   The plan is to record twelve or so of my songs with different vocalists and musicians that I find in the countries I travel to.  I'll be looking for musicians that have an undeniable "x factor".  My goal is to find musicians with immense talent but who are unknown and provide them an outlet to share their music with the world.  I will be primarily visiting "developing" countries where there are fewer opportunities for musicians and where my travel and living expenses will be less.

I'll be documenting the entire project on this site via blog posts, videos and audio recordings.  The entire project will be interactive in the sense that you'll be able to vote on and leave feedback on things like what songs I record, what musicians I use on my recording projects, where I go and what musicians I feature and much more.  I anticipate the entire project will last between 16 and 18 months and I plan to release a CD featuring all the musicians I record with at the conclusion of the project.
